Quality and service to our employees and customers are the building blocks of our business philosophy.

As we work to attain and retain our corporate mission we will concentrate, but not limit, our efforts to the following:

CREATE AND MAINTAIN A VISION FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CUSTOMER RETENTION AT ALL TIMES.

We will accomplish this objective by providing ongoing customer focused training in the following ways:

  • Regular weekly management staff meetings focusing on accomplishments of the previous week and objectives for the coming week.
  • Regular weekly technical training for line workers assuring they fully understand the DOW BUILDING SERVICES commitment to quality service and procedures.
  • Seminars, at least quarterly, for managers at all levels, to provide ongoing technical, customer service, safety and motivational leadership training.
  • Annual staff retreat to focus on areas of leadership that DOW     BUILDING SERVICES should concentrate on in the upcoming year, and to review and update its’ current progress.

WORK TOWARD A POSITIVE PARTNERSHIP BY INVOLVING THE CUSTOMER AND PROSPECT IN OUR BUSINESS.

This will be accomplished through the following ways:

  • Work with our customers to develop the schedule of services and staffing needed for their facilities utilizing computerized workloading of service tasks and frequencies of those tasks.
  • Through the use of job status reports, to continually monitor the service program to assure an ongoing quality and cost effective program

The key point in DOW BUILDING SERVICES’ commitment to quality is to maintain an ongoing dialogue with customers &  non-customers alike.  It is mandatory to keep abreast of needs in the marketplace so that DOW BUILDING SERVICES remains the leader in meeting those needs.

PROFESSIONALIZE OUR COMPANY AND INDUSTRY.  DOW BUILDING SERVICES  will continuously search for opportunities to further professionalize our company and the industry as a whole.

  • Actively participate in our trade associations by attending and teaching seminars, serving on committees, and as directors and officers wherever possible.
  • Provide the opportunity and encourage our management staff to set for and pass the professional designations available to them.
  • Whenever possible, visit other successful companies, inside and outside the industry, through the use of peer and networking groups.

CONSTANTLY SEARCH FOR CUSTOMER WINNING PERFORMANCE by making it easy for our customers to do business with us.  We will make every effort to assure that any customer contact with us is a positive one.  This includes the way we answer the phone, to the way our sales, operations, administrative, and human resources department interacts with our customers.

What We're Hearing...

Dow Building Services has been the Custodial Contractor for Baxter Healthcare Corporation in Mountain Home since April of 1999. That in itself should tell you something. Baxter is a medical manufacturing facility, and our requirements are FDA regulated. We have approximately 550,000 square feet of building, of which 250,000 square feet is production space that is classified as “clean room”. The rest of our space is office and warehouse. DOW won the janitorial bid initially from six other companies. We felt at the time that DOW would be more responsive to our needs because they are an Arkansas company, with local, on-site management and a corporate office in North Little Rock. Dow Building Services has proven our initial intuition correct. Dow Worsham has personally made several commitments to us over the years and he has followed through on each one, and he still makes regular visits to oversee our in-house operations. DOW has approximately 50 employees that take care of our building on a 24/7 schedule. They do an excellent job of keeping our facility clean and they handle any extra activities that might occur on a daily basis. Bill Porterfield has put together a good Team at our site, and we’re glad to have them with us. They’re a good company, with good people, and we are very happy working with them.
