Mr. Dow Worsham II, CBSE, President/CEO
Dow Worsham II, a graduate of Sylvan Hills High School, has been a resident of North Little Rock , AR since 1963. He has been in the building service industry since 1979.
In 1985, Dow was named President and Chief Executive Officer. As President, Dow completely reorganized and redirected the company. He strongly believes that to be the best, you have to hire good people, properly train them, pay above average wages, supervise their performance, and maintain strong communication with the customer. Through his direction, DOW Building Services has grown to over 500 employees, providing service throughout Arkansas.
Dow’s strongest professional assets are his commitment to customer satisfaction, his leadership skills, and a focused drive to be the best. He is a Certified Building Service Executive (CBSE), a designation of Building Service Contractors Association International, earned by a select few nationally. Dow is a member of numerous civic and professional organizations including: North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce, where he was a former board member; Greater Little Rock Chamber of Commerce; a former CARTI Foundation Board Member; Building Service Contractors Association International, Cleaning Management Institution, International Cleaning and Sanitary Technicians, International Real Estate Management Association, North Little Rock Friends of Animals, First Assembly of God Church. In his spare time, he coaches a little league tournament baseball team. Dow is happily married to his wife, Sonia and has two sons, Chase Wesley and Zane Elliot.
Larry A. Tanner, RBSM Director of Operations
Larry A. Tanner, a resident of Central Arkansas since 1969, came to work for DOW Building Services in September of 1990.
From 1990 until 1995, Larry worked in all aspects of the cleaning industry for DOW Building Services. He cleaned accounts, performed floor and carpet maintenance, trained crews, and supervised the cleaning for several accounts. In 1996, Larry was named Operations Manager, where he directed the floor crews, float crews, area supervisors, and supervised all accounts in the Central Arkansas area.
In 1998, Larry was promoted to Area Manager, and in July, 2006, he was promoted to Director of Operations, the position he still holds today. He has taken classes in carpet cleaning, floor maintenance, and attended industry trade shows learning new and improved ways to maintain our accounts. He is a Registered Building Service Manager (RBSM), a designation of the Building Service Contractors Association International, earned by a select few nationally. Larry has taken the Leadership Training for Managers, and the Dale Carnegie courses given by Dale Carnegie and Associates.
Larry supports several local charities such as the Southern Christian Home in Morrilton and Big Brothers, Big Sisters. He currently serves as a board member for the Southern Christian Home. He is happily married to his wife, Cindy, and has one daughter, Heather Marie.
Todd James, CEH, RBSM - Environmental Services Division Manager
Todd James is a graduate of Benton Sr. High School and is a resident of North Little Rock. He has been a Manager of Environmental Services at Bryant Regional Medical Center, Helena Regional Medical Center, and was the District Manager of Housekeeping for the Medical Buildings at Little Rock Air Force Base.
Todd became a member of the International Executive Housekeeping Association (IEHA) in 1992, and became a Certified Executive Housekeeper in 1997. In 1992, he also became successfully certified in Quorums Housekeeping Manager Program, which includes Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Quality Control Technical Skills, and Leadership Dynamics.
In addition, Todd is a Registered Building Services Manager (RBSM), an exclusive designation from the Building Service Contractors Association International that recognizes his hard work, effort, and dedication to the building services industry. He has also completed and achieved special recognition in management courses with Dale Carnegie.
Todd strives for excellence in himself and in his staff. He works hard to achieve his and his customers’ goals in cleaning. He also has a great support staff that helps with the training of employees, supervision, and inspections of the buildings. Todd is single, and enjoys volunteering as a Little League football coach in his spare time.
Craig Scott, RBSM, North Side Area Manager
Craig is a native of New Orleans, Louis- iana, where he was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School.
Before relocating to Arkansas in August 2005, he began his long career in janitorial services working for federal contractors where he gained vast knowledge in all phases of custodial care. He received national recognition for service to federal agencies when he earned the Superior Accomplishment Award in 1989.
While employed with Goodwill Industries, he was promoted from Supervisor to Manager in October, 1989. During his tenure at Goodwill, Craig received certification for janitorial training, supervisory skills, and marketing skills. He also received NISH awards for management of federal contracts.
Later in his career, he held several managerial positions with leading janitorial providers in the New Orleans region. Craig joined Dow Building Services in February, 2006, and his skills and knowledge have been a welcome addition to the Dow Management Team.
Craig and his wife, Sharon live in North Little Rock, and are the proud parents of two sons, Brandon and Justin, and one grandson, Brayden.
Ramona Meeker, Northwest Arkansas Area Manager
Ramona Meeker has lived in Arkansas since 1989, and currently resides in Springdale with her husband, Gary.
She grew up in Iowa where she graduated from Fort Madison High School in 1983. Upon moving to Arkansas, she worked as an Environmental Services Supervisor at St. Mary’s Hospital, a position she maintained for almost a decade.
Ramona then took a position as a Plant Trainer for Rockline in 1998 until 2004 when she transitioned back into the commercial cleaning industry as an Area Manager for Outsource Partners. She also was the Head of Housekeeping at the Hilton Garden Inn from 2006 to 2008, working two full-time jobs to help her daughter, Ashley through college.
It is this work ethic and dedication that made her a great fit for Dow Building Services. She joined DOW in January, 2010. Ramona’s duties include customer communications, quality assurance, controlling direct costs for accounts, coordinating and supervising staff, and preparing schedules for area supervisors and floor crews. The schedule for an Area Manager is usually split: 1/2 of the day spent visiting with customers, and 1/2 of the day on-site working with crews, and ensuring work is being completed according to the building specifications.
Charlie Finlay, RBSM, Northeast Arkansas Area Manager
Charlie Finlay comes to us from New Zealand. He first started in the janitorial field at the age of 18, but soon entered the New Zealand Army where he specialized in Stores Accounting and Personnel Administration. Because of his military background and his eye for detail, he became Operations Manager of a cleaning service in New Zealand after retirement from the Army.
Charlie continued in the cleaning industry when he came to the United States, becoming an Area Manager for a Memphis, TN company before joining the DOW Team. He has been a great addition to Dow Building Services. He believes that perfection is achieved with teamwork, a little “elbow grease”, and determination. He shows this in his daily activities as he assists his staff and supervisors.
In addition, Charlie is a Registered Building Services Manager (RBSM), an exclusive designation from the Building Service Contractors Association International. This achievement recognizes his hard work, effort, and dedication to the industry.
Charlie moved to Cherry Valley, AR in 2002, and is married to his wife, Cheryl. Lucky for him, he became the proud grandfather of four granddaughters when he and Cheryl married.
Reggie Cowan, RBSM, Hot Springs Area Manager
eggie Cowan graduated from McLain High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He attended one year of college at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and two years at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas after moving to Hot Springs in 1970.
Reggie has worked in managerial positions for 25 years, and came to Dow Building Services after 17 years of service as Technical Advisor with a locally owned business in Hot Springs.
Since starting as Area Manager for the Hot Springs area in 1995, he has brought his experience of communication, training , and positive attitude to serve his customers’ needs.
Reggie maintains a commitment and dedication to provide professional service for all the customers in the Hot Springs Area.
