To all you dads out there, enjoy your day!
Herman Redmon is our Employee of the Month for June! He works for DOW at Ortho Arkansas in the Surgery Center. His Area Manager, Sonya Smith says this about Herman. ”He is a very good worker who is very dependable and keeps the building looking good. He comes to work on time and always lets his Supervisor know when he needs supplies. He keeps his janitor closet looking good too”.
Sonya goes on to say, “Herman has worked in other buildings for DOW and no matter where he is, he always does good work. Herman’s a keeper”. Congratulations!
Congratulations to Lisa Stevens, our 2nd Quarter Janus Award winner! Lisa has been working for DOW since August, 2015. Andrew Klich, Hot Springs Area Manager, has this to say about her. “Lisa has always been a very dependable Supervisor at the Hot Springs branch. She has shown the ability to fill in any place she is needed and provides exceptional service in everything she does”.
David Roark, the Administration Support Person in Hot Springs says this about Lisa. “Lisa is a person that will do whatever needs to be done. When I come to her with a customer concern, she takes that concern and goes and fixes it. She is a great Supervisor and I would like to say that Lisa is a person I enjoy working with”.
The staff at the Hot Springs Office would like to say, “Thank you for all of the hard work you put in every day, you are deeply appreciated”. Congrats!
No matter what your plans might be for this Memorial Day weekend, please take some time to remember the reason we have an extra day off from work. Let’s try and find some way to honor our fallen men and women of the Armed Forces who have given the ultimate sacrifice for us and our country. One idea - those little flags on a stick are a wonderful way to show some patriotic respect to our fallen military members.
Enjoy the holiday!
DOW’s employees are our most valuable asset. That’s why our Safety Topic of the Month is directed at each and every one of us. We’ve all been taught how to drive safely. But unfortunately, we get a little laxed with some of the basics; like yielding; tailgating, and being a patient and courteous driver. Trust me, I know how difficult it is to follow the rules of road etiquette, but it’s always in our best interest to stay cool, calm, and collected.
There are also the most important rules of all which everyone wants to break. You guessed it, texting while driving and not wearing a seat belt. These are not an option, yet more and more you see people breaking the law. Please don’t let one of them be you. When driving on the job, you are a moving billboard for DOW Building Services. Always be courteous and protect your reputation and the reputation of the company you work for. And while you’re at it, try to follow the rules and stay safe!
